Be a Panacea

The word Panacea is derived from the Greek word- panake, which means ‘all healing’. Panacea is defined as a remedy for all ills and difficulties. We live in a time when we are consistently faced with various challenges and obstacles militating against our sustained development as an African society. The Panacea Project was founded to be the organization which gives young Africans a platform to help rescue and reposition the continent on the pathway to economic and social progress. The Panacea Project provides an environment where young Africans bring their individual talents and passions but learn to discard their prejudices, ensuring an ecosystem of teamwork and problem solving.

Scientific Research

For the next twelve months, The Panacea Project would be conducting research on the incidence of nosocomial infections in Nigerian Teaching Hospitals, the state of Emergency Medical Services in Nigerian hospitals  and efficient payment systems in Nigerian hospitals. We hope to draft evidence-based policy based on the data collated would aid in the drafting of people-oriented policy as regards the Nigerian healthcare system.

Social Outreach

In order to play her role in nation building, The Panacea Project would be visiting secondary schools around South-West Nigeria with the aim of instilling a mind-set of positive change in them. We then hope to establish a Panacea Project club in the schools where students would be able to think up solutions to problems faced in their immediate environment and would be empowered with resources they will require to implement change.

The Panacea Project organizes an annual symposium during which a crucial local problem is identified and reputable individuals in the society will be invited to speak on and proffer solutions to these problems. The symposium will be attended by young persons from all disciplines and it will provide a platform for these young people to identify their roles and responsibilities in tackling these challenges. The symposium also provides a podium for highly-regarded persons in the country to speak directly to the youth about topical issues and propose solutions to those issues.
