Project Description

FACI, a brainchild of The Panacea Project which aims to feed homeless children in Sabo, Ibadan monthly is scheduled to kick off on June 9, 2018. The scheme will be The Panacea Project’s contribution towards  the achievement of SDG 2 – Zero Hunger. The  scheme would also get these homeless children enrolled in public schools in Sabo environs as The Panacea Project’s contribution towards the achievement of SDG 4 – Quality Education. The Panacea Project would partner with restaurants and retail stores all over Ibadan to ensure the success of this scheme.
The Feed-A-Child Initiative is a scheme with the potential to touch the lives of numerous children in need. It promises to be an opportunity to gather data needed to investigate the reality of the importance of achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger in a city like Ibadan. We expect to use the result of the research to secure a sustainable sponsorship from large retail stores and restaurants in the Ibadan community, to make the initiative a sustainable one that will be run on a monthly basis.
The inaugural edition of the scheme would be funded by donations received towards Feed-A-Child initiative.

Getting to share and relate with the experience of these wonderful children has been the highlight of Feed-A-Child Initiative Outreach for me. It’s a really nice initiative

Ebubechukwu Eriobuna • Protocol, Edition - June, 2018

Seeing how concerned people could be about our community and impacting our community as well as seeing the smiles on the faces of the children here today has been wonderful for me. I certainly would encourage everyone to participate and contribute to events like FACI.

Tolu Oyebanji • Data Entry, Edition - June, 2018

This edition has been a success as many of the children came out in their large numbers and the aim of this edition which was to feed them was achieved. We also got to speak to them about other aspects of their lives – their education. It was a great success.

Babatunde Ademusire • Protocol, Edition - June, 2018

It’s amazing how many lives we have been able to touch today. It has exceeded my expectations.

Norah Ezemenaka • Food & Water, Edition - June, 2018

It’s been a nice and encouraging outreach. I would encourage everyone to be a part of FACI and I myself will love to be a part of subsequent editions.
