EVERY MOMENT COUNTS

Systemic corruption, ethnic killings, terrorism, poverty, decaying infrastructure, hunger, poor healthcare, tribalism; these and many more are the evils that beset the African continent at this time. Many of these monumental problems are self-inflicted by the actions and inactions of generations gone by and continued by the current leaders. This is enabled, if not encouraged by the pervasive apathy and resignation of the masses, with every issue being left to the hands of providence and with very little national unity on issues that do not directly affect each person.
These problems are sufficient to dishearten us, but there’s hope to be had once we realize the massive potential in African youths. This is a generation of thinkers, policy makers, problem solvers and just plain good people. Once we realize that we are as much a part of the problem if we stay silent and do nothing and that no matter where we go, here is the only place that is ever going to be home for us, then we know we don’t have a choice. It is in the interest of our future and posterity that we stand up, work and fight for the future of our continent. It’s up to us now.
